Event Promotion and Philanthropic Requests
The following policy is intended to guide OSU departments and other interested parties as they design sales and solicitation materials for display in service units in Campus Dining Services (CDS). The primary goal of these materials should be to keep students informed and provide information that will help connect them to campus and get them involved.
Table Tents
- Table tents can be displayed in Kennedy, North and Morrill Commons only.
- Table tents are limited to OSU departments, programs, student organizations or affiliated outside vendors.
- Content must not be in conflict with any University or other civil regulations and must be in good taste.
- Table tent approval does not imply endorsement by CDS or represent the opinions of CDS.
- No more than three table tents are allowed on tables at one time.
- Table tents are displayed for three days. Display dates are assigned by CDS on a first come, first served basis.
- Table tents must be approved by CDS at least 7 days in advance of the display dates. A copy of the table tent must be brought or mailed to 105 Raney Commons, 47 Curl Drive or emailed to dining@studentlife.osu.edu for approval
- Once approved, table tents must be delivered to each dining commons in display format in the following quantities:
- Kennedy Commons 100
- Morrill Commons 25
- North Commons 80
- CDS staff will not tape, staple or otherwise ready table tents for display. CDS staff will put table tents on tables and will remove them at the end of the three-day display period. Unless other arrangements are made, removed table tents will be discarded.
- Table tent approval will be denied if the requested display dates are full, the content is deemed to be inappropriate or if the requestor does not meet the qualifications listed above. The decision of Campus Dining Services is final.

Tables in Lobbies
- Tables can be set up in the lobbies of Kennedy, North and Morrill Commons only. No more than 1 table is allowed at a time.
- Tables can provide information only. No sales are permitted except by special exception, granted through the CDS office.
- At no time can the table or anyone staffing the table interfere with student movement into or out of the dining commons. Stopping at a table must be completely voluntary.
- Arrangement must be made at least 7 days in advance through the CDS administrative offices by filling out the Lobby Table request form. The completed form is to be returned to 105 Raney Commons, 47 Curl Drive. An electronic version is available by email to dining@studentlife.osu.edu.
- A table will not be permitted for one requestor for more than two consecutive days in a row.
- CDS will supply one table and 2 chairs per request. No other items will be supplied. It is the responsibility of the requestor to bring anything else that is needed.
- Table placement is at the discretion of the unit Operations Manager. Failure to follow the direction of CDS management will be cause for removal. The decision of CDS management if final.

Pizza Box Toppers
- Advertise on our pizza box toppers and receive front page exposure! Pizza box ads, on average, spend 45 minutes with your target audience while they are dining, making it one of the best ways to get in front of your audience!
- Printing not included: (Advertiser takes care of printing): $0.12/piece with a 500 minimum / 1 day order. We highly recommend advertising for at least 3 days for minimum return.

Posters

- Posters are displayed for up to one week. Only one poster can be displayed at a time. Display dates are assigned by CDS on a first come, first served basis
- Once approved, posters must be delivered to each dining commons in the following quantities:

- Morrill Commons 2
- North Commons 4
